I am interested in this topic. OpticalLimits.com is the only web site that provides measures on both lenses, it said Canon is better, sharper at the 24mm corners at F/4. And at 105mm center, Canon is sharper. I have the Sony version, 24mm corners are good at F/5.6. 105mm center is sharp with 42mp camera, but not sure In our review, we state: I think the Canon RF 24-105mm f4 L IS USM is a great lens. Considering that this used to be my bread and butter lens for years when I was a DSLR owner, I’m pleasantly I have an old Crumpler 4 Million Dollar Home bag and it's perfect for this pourpose. I fit my R6 with RF 24-105 f4L attached and I have room for my RF 50 1.8 and RF 16 2.8. FIts perfect and small. They don't make these any more but of you can find a bag with similar/same dimensions, you should be all set. Dimensions are: 10.6 x 8.5 x 4.6" There are a number of areas where this kit lens outperforms the 24-105 F4 lens in sharpness : @24 Center sharpness is better F4-F8. @35 Center sharpness is better at F8 and edges are better F4-F11. @70 and @105 The L lens wins here in center sharpness throughout but the kit lens has better edges throughout.
