Resident Evil 4 was never actually a perfect game, and some of its problems (sometimes clunky controls, final act pacing for a full price title its a joke. 10 years ago it would have been a good one but come on, its 2013 and there are better indy games out then this one. i played all resident evils in my life (play games for 40 years now!!) and never felt like this. Poor grafix, very bad voice actors, absurd bad controls and the monsters are melting away like ice. i even enjoyed raccoon city but this is really bad. People expect a remake to have more familiar locations and story of the original. Both RE2 remake and RE4 remake are a lot closer to the source material. In RE3 remake they took a ton of liberty and redesigned the entire thing completely for better or for worse. Because it's basically a completely new game. It ways baffles me when people are acting like RE6 is suddenly some masterful action game. It sucks at being an action game and that's the problem. The pacing, level design, enemies, cover system, vehicle segments, inventory, shooting, story, characters, etc were all bad. Resident evil 6 hate. I don’t really understand the hate for resident evil 6 as I thought it was actually a pretty good game and I fairly enjoyed it. Too much over the top action for my taste. No horror, no tension. Just action set piece after action set piece. The combat system is one of the best I've ever seen, however it was a dumb goofy Technically the core gameplay is the best out of any resident evil. The problem comes that now that your character plays better than ever they make you go trough small corridors, instead of something more simiar to what you do in the mercenaries (the game really is at its best there), or more open ended stages like in re4/5. add to that long chapters without any kind of weapon upgrades The first Resident Evil Remake is probably my favourite because it retains, if not adds, elements of the gothic and elements that evoke early gothic and horror cinema particularly German Expressionist imagery in quiet areas. Resident Evil 4 gives me a similar vibe at times but the other games never quite hit that mark for me. Resident Evil RE:Verse is awful. The game is just a joke. It feels really bad to play what is basically a free for all shooter with controls that were not made for a multiplayer experience. I'm glad that it's not something people are actually able to buy because it is just horrible. The multiplayer game they released with 3 was so much better. 5RrV.
